All of our Wildfang® dry food varieties are extruded. The Freshtrusion process gently cooks the freshly prepared meat, including venison, at 82°C (180°F). This preserves freshness and protects the proteins in the meat. Furthermore, both raw materials and finished products are tested after each production run. The supply chain is also closely monitored, and strict regulations apply to the husbandry and medical treatment of the animals, as they are also intended for human consumption.

How does the process work?

The ingredients are gently mixed in the high-intensity preconditioner by two independently driven shafts, allowing the steam to be "folded" into the product. This helps preserve the digestibility of the proteins and the survival of the natural vitamins and minerals in the food. This enables us to produce premium-quality dry foods and snacks with a fresh meat content of up to 70 percent. The cooking process is completed by a unique two-stage pre- and post-dryer, which removes the high moisture content of the fresh kibble and creates a vacuum coating system that ensures unprecedented consistency when applying fats and oils after extrusion.
