Leather chew bones for dogs – Natural chew toy for calm, thoughtful chewers

The Wildfang® leather chew bone is a high-quality, natural dog toy made from 100% cowhide leather. It was specially developed for dogs with a calm chewing instinct who gnaw in a relaxed manner and do not tend to bite through or swallow toys.

Natural material leather – used responsibly

The leather used comes exclusively from EU farms with animal welfare certification. It is vegetable-tanned and hand-treated with olive oil and natural fats. This results in a soft, supple leather with a natural patina.

The approximately 5 mm thick oiled leather is particularly suitable for dogs that chew gently, as well as for senior dogs or dogs with sensitive teeth.

For which dogs is the leather chew bone suitable?

The Wildfang® leather chew bone is particularly suitable for dogs who:

• Chew calmly and evenly
• Use toys for relaxation rather than destruction
• Do not bite off or swallow any pieces
• to be easily corrected (e.g., to give things from one's mouth)
• Chew only under supervision

For dogs that are very fond of chewing or destructive, we recommend instead robust chew toys for strong chewers – for example, our chew root made from tree heath.

Size recommendation

• S: up to 10 kg – approx. 13 cm
• M: 10–15 kg – approx. 17 cm
• L: over 15 kg – approx. 21 cm

Please choose a size that allows your dog to easily grasp the bone, but not to put it completely in their mouth.

Application & Supervision

• Use only under supervision
• Always provide fresh water
• Check the leather chew bone regularly
• Remove any chewed or loose pieces immediately.
• Do not continue using if there is severe abrasion or damage.

⚠️ Important safety instructions

Leather is a natural, non-toxic material. However, if swallowed in larger quantities, it cannot be digested by the dog's body.

Potential risks of improper use:

• Risk of suffocation from swallowed pieces of leather
• Stomach or intestinal obstruction caused by indigestible leather remnants
• Risk of injury from hasty or aggressive chewing

The leather chew bone is NOT suitable for dogs that:

• Quickly destroy or chew up toys
• exhibit strong, aggressive, or very impulsive chewing behavior
• Swallowing food or objects
• are very stressed, restless, or highly excitable
• left unattended with chew toys

Even if your dog loves leather: If he tends to bite off or eat pieces of it, this chew toy is not the right choice.
